Longtime neighbor Tony Cordeiro has passed away

Antone Cordeiro, 78, of Mattapoisett, husband of Jacqueline (Oliveira) Cordeiro, died September 7, 2021, at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston. Born in Fall River, he was a son of the late Antone and Wanda (Pitera) Cordeiro. He earned a master's degree at URI and was employed as an IT Administrator at Raytheon for 35 years. He enjoyed fishing and boating but enjoyed spending time with his family most of all. Besides his wife, of 61 years, he leaves three children, Kenneth Cordeiro (wife Louann) of Somerset, Karen Martin of Tiverton, and Michael Cordeiro (wife Maria) of Swansea; three siblings, Lawrence Cordeiro of Connecticut, Wanda Ferreira of Dartmouth, and Joseph Cordeiro of Fall River; several grandchildren; a great grandson, and nieces and nephews. Also father of the late Debra Cordeiro. Funeral Wednesday at 9 a.m. from Silva-Faria Funeral Home, 730 Bedford St, (mask-wearing urged & appreciated) with Mass in St Anthony Parish Church, Mattapoisett, at 10:30 am. Cremation to follow. Calling Hours Tuesday 4-7. In lieu of flowers, donations to Dana-Farber Cancer Inst, POBox 849168, Boston, MA 02284 or St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
